New Orleans Tricentennial

In 2018, the city of New Orleans celebrated its Tricentennial—the big 3-0-0! To commemorate the milestone anniversary, the New Orleans Tricentennial Commission partnered with StoryCorps to record and preserve the many stories that make up the fabric of the inimitable city.

I managed this truly special project, overseeing several weeks of recordings in various parts of the city, meeting numerous wonderful residents, and learning more about their connections and contributions to New Orleans’ rich history.

The full interview collection was made available to the public at all 15 branches of the New Orleans Public Library.
